The roots of Dead Centric started in the summer of 2015 after drummer Curt was inspired by the Grateful Dead's Fare Thee Well concerts to put together a band celebrating the music of the Grateful Dead.

The early incarnation of the band was called InfraDead which never made it out of the basement. There were some line-up changes which resulted in InfraDead bass player Todd taking over as lead singer and guitarist and bringing in his long time friend/bass player Eric to complete the three piece which resulted in the Three Man Dead Band. 

The Three Man Dead band picked up keys player, Dave, from Oxford and played a handful of gigs from August 2016 until their last show January 2017. 

Determined to keep the spirit of the Dead music going, Curt, decided to forge ahead and form a new band. Dead Centric was born in July 2017 with new lead singer/guitarist, Tom, and bass/vocalist, Jim. Josh (keys/vocals) and Joe (guitar/vocals) joined in 2018 to complete the current dome crushing line-up.

Dead Centric plays music "centered" on the music and free flowing spirit of the Grateful Dead but are not a 100% Grateful Dead tribute band. We expand outside the bounds of the Dead to explore the related directions of the Allman Brothers, Phish, Widespread Panic, and many others.

The music never stops..... and the journey continues...
