Woody Pines & The Coal Cave Hollow Boys at Woodlands Tavern

$10.00
Woody Pines Bio:
Billed as a purveyor of “country blues, rag time, and viper jazz,” Woody Pines is that and more. He’s also a purveyor of fine original songs that draw on those traditions and others as well. Woody’s new songs are best known as “hillbilly boogie;” a rarely remembered genre of American music made famous by the Delmore Brothers. Hillbilly boogie sits at the exact moment when the buzzed- out, electrified hillbilly country music of Appalachia (which itself drew heavily from country blues), first hit the sawdust-floored honky-tonks of old Nashville and Memphis.

TCCHB Bio:
The Coal Cave Hollow Boys, based out of Columbus, Ohio, are known as a bluegrass band, yet they masterfully weave rock and classic country into their sound. They bring their high energy onslaught of flat picking guitar, mandolin chopping, banjo frenzied, bass filled sound to every show. In 2017, Lincoln Mash, lead singer and guitarist, teamed up with experienced regional musicians to establish the TCCHB. Mash started playing guitar at the age of 7 and his fast and flawless guitar picking will bring applause from any crowd. His vocals carry sounds seasoned beyond his years.
